| Get Started |
- You need to create a login account with a username and password. In order to create a login, you will need to enter an authorization code. Without it, you will not be able to register.
- Your school (or a letter mailed to you by Socratic Learning) gives you this authorization code.
- From the main page, click "Register Here" to go to the Registration Page. Follow the instructions, fill out the form and submit it.
- You are now ready to access the Online Tutoring module!

| Access a Live Tutor |
- From the main page, input your username and password and click the Sign-in button. If your username and password are correct, you will be taken to a Welcome page.
- If you do not have a Macromedia software plugin called Flash Player 7 (or higher) installed, a dialog box will pop up asking you to install it. Don't worry! This is part of the procedure, as Flash Player 7 is needed to access the Socratic Learning service. Go ahead and click "Yes" to install it.
- For some users, a gold bar may show on top of the page; you will have to click it and "Install ActiveX Control" to continue with the installation. The Welcome page has more instructions.
- If Flash Player is installed and you sign into the Welcome Page, you'll be automatically taken to the Main Menu.

| How to use Live Tutoring Sessions |
- You can join any currently running sessions by clicking the "Join a Session Now" button on the Main Menu page.

| How to Use Writing Sessions |
- To use the Writing Lab, click the "Writing Lab" button in the main menu and it will take you to the Writing Lab section.
- Here you can upload new documents or check out reviewed writings.
- To upload new documents, click "Upload Writing" and fill in the subsequent form. Your file needs to be a Microsoft Word document.
- To check out reviewed writings, click "View Reviewed Work" and select the appropriate writing session
