Learning Environment
Socratic Learning is a place for learning through thought-provoking questions and guidance. Even in a small conventional classroom, a student can find himself feeling lost or left behind. Confusion and frustration can easily result. With our unique one tutor/one student ratio, the tutor gently guides the student through the thought processes required and with each success, encourages him with immediate, reinforcing feedback. Another factor is how at ease the students become. No longer is there the fear that they'll be ridiculed by their classmates if they give an incorrect answer. Like Socrates, questions are encouraged. Involvement in an educational experience such as Socratic Learning gives the student something much more precious and long-lasting than a higher test score: it fosters an appreciation for learning and provides the tools for future success.
