| Academic Support |
The group discussions offer support for a specific curriculum.
For example, those enrolled in a course can work with instructors to get any doubts they have about particular topics clarified. In order to ensure that the students can assess what they know and don't know, assessment modules aligned to supported books or curriculum have been set up. The students are strongly encouraged to go through these assessment modules (and upload the results) so that a tutor may customize the sessions to suit individual needs of students.
Diagnostic quizzes for Pre-Algebra.
Diagnostic quizzes for Math.
Diagnostic quizzes for English Grammar topics.
These are some of the generic examples of assessment modules. Book / Curriculum specific modules will be available to those enrolled in the tutoring support program.
Chat with a Scientist is a monthly event when students will be able to chat with a real scientist. These sessions provide students with a context of how math/science concepts are used in real life and provide students with a glimpse of future career options. These sessions are intended to inspire students towards careers in science and technology fields.
Examples include (but not limited to):
- Dissection of slime (by a chemist).
- Tree barks to Asprin - a discussion of rain forests.
